Play N Train Groups

Play N Train with Walk A Pup is a canine enrichment program providing dogs with an appropriate outlet for healthy social interactions through closely monitored free play, paired up with group and individual training sessions.

Play N Train groups are offered during three different sessions during the day:
- 8:00-10:00am
- 10:30-12:30pm
- 1:30-3:30 pm

Pups are divided up between two separate rooms for a big dog area and small dog area, and grouped by play styles. Play time is monitored and dogs are paired up with play partners with similar energy levels and play styles.

Groups are small with no more than 12 dogs and a 4:1 dog/ handler ratio.

During training time we work on basic foundation skills and build up to more advanced exercises with adding in distractions, durations and distances. We add in sports, agility, nose work games for those that are skilled and focused enough to participate, as well as provide enrichment exercises and games for beginners.

Pattern Games based on the control unleashes program are incorporated for building confidence, predictability and helps build decision making skills for your pups!
We provide an evidence based approach to training in line with LIMA code of ethics. (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive technique likely to succeed in achieving a training or behavior change objective with minimal risk of producing aversive side effects).

Cost: $35.00 per session
Transportation is available upon request - $5.00 each way.

* Play N Train Skills classes are offered once a month at no additional cost. This is an instructor-led group class for dog and dog parents to attend together and learn the skills that are worked on during Play N Train groups!!
